Grant Furlane is a seasoned technology expert and entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience in smart city transportation, network security, cloud computing, and loyalty programs for parking, transit, and tolling industries. With a track record of being involved in over $600 million in technology investments, he has been contracted to lead several large public IT companies’ initiatives.
Mr. Furlane has aggressively built three transportation technology companies that have established the vanguard for tracking and monitoring vehicle movement. His companies have developed and sold integrated control systems for major airports, hospitals, and parking companies. He is considered an expert in threat prevention automation using Artificial Intelligence architecture with computer vision.
Mr. Furlane’s career includes serving as the former and youngest President of the Canadian Parking Association. He also served as Co-Chairman of the first World Symposium on Intelligent Transportation Systems, an international symposium attended by delegates representing 50 countries. Additionally, he was a guest contributor at the United Nations Congress for Infrastructure. Mr. Furlane has also served as Chairman to the Neurological Hospitals Centers for Ability and the Board of Governors of Ontario Junior A Hockey. In addition to mentoring and investing in startups, he also has investments in the entertainment and sports industries.
Mr. Furlane is currently helping develop technology for “Project Arrow” through Locomobi World and spearheaded by the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association (APMA) of Canada. Project Arrow is the first, full-build, zero-emissions concept vehicle.
As the CEO and co-founder of LocoMobi, Grant leads a team of innovators and computer vision experts towards their goal of building more efficient transportation and mobility solutions. He has been named among the most influential business leaders to watch by CIO magazine and has been recognized with the Ted Seeberg Memorial Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Canadian Parking Industry.
